Welcome to Orchard School website
Orchard City is located in northwest Transylvania at the limit of the 21 th km from the center of Satu Mare, divided in two by the River Rakta (Eger sea), situated between the plain Somes and the Tour, at the fork road Satu Mare, Baia Mare and Negresti-Oas.
Over the years, was considered and called "Gate of Oas". Its inhabitants, through their diligence, have created a thriving agriculture and is considered "Baragan" area.
Before 1932 the area of Orchard (Sárközújlak) consisted of two parts: Orchard-Old (Sárközi) and Livada-New (Újlak), being separated from the brook Rakta. Between 1621-1622 in localities Orchard, Orchard-Old and opened the first religious school, which stood at the head priest, as president and teacher who served the church as a cantor. In the 1924-1925 school year, the Greek-Catholic religious schools has ceased, its place was taken by first local state school, the building donated by Baron Vecsey, called Rózsabokor, which today is building Festive Hall .
Law nr.322 of July 14, 2006 village Orchard, Satu-Mare has been declared the city with places components: Dumbrava, Adrian and Orchard-Minor.
